Have you read the story "The Monkey's Paw"? IMHO it is one of the best short stories ever written. It tells you to always think carefully what you wish for. Wishes sometimes have a bad habbit coming true.

Life is a journey. We keep walking through different times and places. We discover wonders and facts hidden from us. We search for fellow travelers who are ready to share our load and guide us through the maze. We too become guides to some and help them search their paths.
We leave marks on the way to remind us of the times gone by, places seen and things which could not be seen, heard, tasted but could only be felt.
